Jennifer Giovinazzi, LCSW

Healing happens when we reconnect with the body’s wisdom, the mind’s clarity, and the heart’s desire.
Jennifer Giovinazzi is the founder of Lotus Psychotherapy, LLC. She brings over 20 years of experience providing direct care to adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and complex mental health challenges. Her work integrates evidence-based practices—including DBT, EMDR, CRM, and mindfulness—while maintaining a person-centered approach that honors each client’s unique strengths. Jenn is committed to creating a non-judgmental space where clients can feel supported and empowered to make lasting change.

Early Work and Advocacy
Jenn began her career in schools, counseling at-risk youth and developing programs to support students facing academic struggles, child protective services involvement, and behavioral issues. As a Student Assistance Counselor specializing in substance abuse prevention, she later became a School Social Worker and led the Healthy Schools Committee to national recognition for improving wellness and nutrition in her community.

Trauma-Informed Practice
Throughout her career, Jenn has remained dedicated to helping individuals and families heal from trauma. From her early work with children impacted by incest to her current role in a DBT-adherent Women’s Trauma Program, she has guided clients in building skills, improving relationships, and reconnecting with themselves. Jenn also has a deep interest in bridging verbal therapy with body-based and mindfulness practices, supporting clients in accessing nonverbal ways to process and release painful experiences.

Philosophy of Care
Jenn’s approach is rooted in the belief that healing happens when we are fully present and willing to explore the patterns that hold us back. By combining evidence-based interventions with compassion and curiosity, she helps clients find clarity, strengthen resilience, and create a life that feels authentic and meaningful.
